Therapy sessions located in the clinic, with you and your child. These sessions are planned and tailored to meet your families’ specific needs and goals.
OT in the home or the community. Sessions could be conducted at home, your child’s school setting or within the community – the beach, the park, the shopping mall, the environment that best supports your child’s needs and helps them to achieve their goals.
Technology allows us to conduct assessments and intervention in a variety of locations across Australia.
Caregiver education and training is a vital component of our intervention. We aim to empower families with the knowledge and skills to support your child's development effectively. We focus on practical strategies to enhance everyday activities to meet your families’ specific needs and goals.
We are passionate about supporting educators and child carers in their settings. Our programs focus on imparting practical assessment skills for educators to identify areas of delay that will impact school readiness skills. Furthermore, our training will equip educators to be able to select and adapt activities to enhance the group as well as individual’s global outcomes.
A few topic areas of training could include: understanding the impact of visual perception, why is bilateral integration so important, enhancing gross and fine motor development, sensory processing, what is dyspraxia?
Assessments are completed by gathering information from detailed clinical observations, standardised tests, and information gathered from the individual, their family, or caregivers. This thorough process helps us identify each child’s strengths, challenges, and areas in need of support, allowing us to develop a customized therapy plan that promotes their growth and success.
Our reports will include a summary of your child’s current function and recommendations for future therapy, supports and assistive technology, that we feel will assist to optimise their journey toward independence and achieving their goals.
These reports offer valuable insights and practical strategies that families, caregivers, and educators can implement in various settings. They can also serve as crucial evidence in your child’s diagnostic process or when seeking access to the NDIS, attending meetings, and during plan reviews.
